Just a Man

There is something familiar in the way people are treating Barack Obama. I remember the huge crowds celebrating with tears of joy and hope when he won the election. Now the masses are booing and hurling angry accusations. I dare not suggest Obama is a Christ figure. That would be as silly as believing he is the anti-christ. No, I’m thinking that it is human nature to pin our hopes on someone to save us, and when, inevitably, they are unable to instantly fulfill our highest expectations our adoration turns to hate.
Barack Obama is a man; an intelligent, idealistic man who earnestly wants to serve his country and his world. We elected him, and he deserves our continuing support as he does his best to fix our messes.

Post-note on November 18. 2011.  I was wrong.  We've been duped.  Barack Obama is a pawn or worse.  But what was real was the hope in those of us who believed and longed for a better world.  Our hope and desire for change are still alive, and growing daily.  WE will rise up, topple the deception and supression, and WE WILL CREATE A BETTER WORLD.
LOVE RULES.

Yes, I was duped too.
From the book "Pity the billionaire"..."President Obama has betrayed the voters who elected him. He ran like a populist...but he has governed like a plutocrat."
